Women---now there is a subject that will take forever to write about

Women....lets do the safe thing and start with the stamps....both will take some research.  Clearly the top stamp is from France and worth a dollar or Franc or the similar equivalent.  Based on some previous stamp research....I am guessing the second stamp is a Bulgarian stamp.

Update...the French stamp is a 1967 french art series called The Bather.

I have looked at a lot of stamps in the past year, and I do not remember many picturing women in a state of undress.  I am guessing there are many variations to this theme, and would like to perhaps see if someone is selling a topical collection of women nudes.  Can't say I wouldn't
enjoy that, and you do have to collect something.

Seriously, what could I write here....that I have spent 60 years on this earth, and women remain a mystery....including on many days, my wife, my daughter and everyone else.   I will say this.. women are beautiful creatures in so many wonderful ways.  Of course our crazy media society has bastardized body image and tried to redefine it as to size, shape, look and more.  Women are their own worst enemy in that regard, jumping into that pool head first and swimming.  The longtime fascination with big breasts as a status symbol is now challenged only by the chase for the biggest, roundest butt.  I couldn't be more turned off in both regards.

The ladies depicted in these stamps...what do you suppose their life was all about?

My favorite women, other than my wife and daughter of course, are strong, extraordinarily competent in
their work, intelligent, and pleasant all day long.   I know and have known a few who fall into that category...a category that is very special indeed....first round entries into my personal business/work  Hall of Fame.

Only a few make the Hall of Fame......and, like a gentleman, I never name names.

We may very well soon see our first Madame President in this country, and that day is overdue.  From where I see things, the guys haven't done themselves proud collectively, though certainly there have been some individual standouts.  Women are slowly and steadily gaining equal footing in power positions, and my expectation for their performance is excellence all the time.  Do it ladies...do it well.

But it won;t be any easier for you than for the men...because power corrupts.  Unfortunately, women are as susceptible to that  issue as men are.  Women are not immune; they can be conniving, trivial, histrionic, incompetent, compassionless, and more.  They can also be brilliant and seductive, but I digress...
